Astrex Adds J-Tech Division of Conesys

PLAINVIEW, NEW YORK, May 3, 2010 — Astrex Electronics, a leading value-added supplier of interconnect products for military, aerospace, medical, industrial, and commercial applications, is now an authorized distributor for
J-Tech Div. of Conesys.

Astrex will handle J-Tech’s extensive line of connectors and is Mil-qualified to build J-Tech’s threaded coupling, environmentally sealed Mil-DTL-5015 Series III front release connectors. These include MS3400, MS3402 and MS3406 connectors in multiple mounting configurations, with typical applications in harsh environments.  Astrex, with extensive value-added capabilities and domestic and international distribution capacity, was a natural fit for the J-Tech line.

Astrex and Aero-Electric in Franchise Agreement

PLAINVIEW, NEW YORK, March 22, 2010 — Astrex Electronics is now an authorized franchised distributor of Aero-Electric Connector, Inc., a division of Conesys Inc.

Astrex will be fully authorized and Mil-qualified to build Aero’s Mil-DTL-38999 connectors, Mil-DTL-5015 connectors, and Mil-DTL 83723 Series III connectors in a wide range of shell materials and finishes. Military approval is anticipated by July 1, 2010.

According to Mike McGuire, Astrex Executive Vice President, “The Aero-Electric line is a very significant addition for Astrex, filling several holes in our extensive mil-aero connector lineup.”

Aero-Electric Connector is a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance environmental and firewall-rated military cylindrical connectors. Aero-Electric products are manufactured in Aero’s vertically integrated facilities in Torrance California.

Three New Key Account Managers Join Astrex

PLAINVIEW, NEW YORK, February 24, 2010 — Astrex Electronics, a leading value-added supplier of interconnect products for military, aerospace, medical, industrial, and commercial applications, has announced the addition of three new Key Account Managers.  Their appointments strengthen the company’s presence in the Northeast, South Central and Southern California regions.

Rick McLaughlin is the new Astrex Key Account Manager in the Northeast Region, covering strategic accounts in Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Mr. McLaughlin has an extensive background in distribution sales and management, (Avnet Electronics, Airtechnics, Lighthouse Electronics) and previously represented Astrex for some 18 years.

Longtime industry sales and marketing veteran Mark Lutz will represent Astrex in the South Central Region, including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa.  His background includes roles with Deanco Electronics, Richey Electronics, Airtechniques and Satair.

In Southern California Lauri Teleng will handle strategic accounts along with Astrex Key Account Manager George Quintero. Ms. Teleng brings some 15 years experience in customer service and sales to the position.

ASTREX ADDS CORSAIR ELECTRICAL TO HI REL OFFERING

Corsair manufactures and engineers its full line of high reliability connectors in a vertically integrated, state of the art facility in Irvine California. The connectors are widely used by the United States military, commercial aircraft manufacturers, and the aerospace industry.

Astrex has been qualified to build Corsair’s Mil-DTL-5015 Series III connectors and has inventory on the shelf ready to build. Applicable MS part number series are: MS3450, MS3451, MS3452, MS3454, MS3456 and MS 3459. All are available in both standard aluminum shells and stainless steel firewall versions. Multiple platings are also available.

ROCKWOOD EQUITY PARTNERS ACQUIRES ASTREX ELECTRONICS INC.

NEW YORK AND CLEVELAND, September 2nd, 2008 — RockWood Equity Partners, LLC, a private equity investment firm based in Cleveland and New York, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Astrex Electronics Inc.
